Chinese-Speaking Health Insurance Agent for Obamacare (ACA)
Dongni Chen (Anny) is a licensed health insurance agent who speaks Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) and English. She helps individuals and families compare and enroll in Obamacare (ACA) health plans in 27 states, including California, Texas, New Jersey and Illinois. Working with a licensed agent costs nothing extra: agents are paid by the insurance companies, and your premium is the same as if you enrolled on your own.[1]
What Dongni can help with
- Check whether you qualify for a premium subsidy, and estimate your monthly cost.
- Compare Bronze, Silver and Gold plans side by side: premium, deductible, doctors and prescriptions.
- Enroll on HealthCare.gov or your state’s own marketplace, such as Covered California, Get Covered New Jersey, Get Covered Illinois and Pennie (Pennsylvania).
- Renew each year, update your income, and enroll after a life event such as losing job-based coverage, marriage, a new baby or a move.
- Explain everything in Mandarin or Cantonese, so family members can follow along.
She also helps with life insurance, annuities and visitor insurance for parents.

Common questions
Do I pay more if I use an agent?
No. Agents are paid a commission by the insurance companies. The plan and the premium are the same as enrolling on your own.[1][6]
Can green card holders and visa holders buy Obamacare?
Many can enroll. Starting in 2027, among non-citizens only green card holders and two other small groups can get federal subsidies; H-1B, F-1 and most other visa holders can still buy a plan at full price.[7] Dongni can check your situation.
Is there a list of Chinese-speaking doctors?
Yes. The site has a directory of Chinese-speaking doctors (in Chinese) by city and specialty, with clinic addresses and phone numbers.
